Fart Attack high-score guide: points, bosses and how long a run lasts
Fart Attack never ends. The three bosses keep coming round, a little tougher each time, and the enemies get faster every level. So the real game is how far you get and how many points you pick up on the way. This guide gives the numbers behind both.
WHAT EVERYTHING IS WORTH
| Enemy | Points | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Baby sprout | 25 | Two of these burst out of a big sprout from level three |
| Bogey nose | 50 | |
| Hopping roll | 75 | Bounces along the ground |
| Brussels sprout | 75 | |
| Dog | 100 | Slow |
| Bird | 100 | The fastest enemy |
| Seagull | 125 | |
| Air freshener | 150 | Farts bounce off it, so burp it |
Each hit on a boss is worth 10, and beating a boss is worth 1,000 times the level. Every tin you pick up is worth 25.
COMBOS
A kill within about a second and a half of the last one raises the combo by one, and every kill is worth its points times the combo. Getting hit resets it to nothing.
Combos are where the big scores come from. Three seagulls caught in one fart cloud are worth 125, then 250, then 375: 750 in all, where three separate kills would be 375. Keep firing into groups, and keep the chain going from one group to the next.
HOW MANY KILLS TO REACH THE BOSS
Level one needs 12 kills. After that, a level needs 12 plus three times the level number: 18 on level two, 21 on level three, 24 on level four, and so on.
THE BOSSES ON EVERY LOOP
The three bosses take turns: King Snotty, Lady Lavender, Sir Sproutalot, then round again. Each boss you beat adds 6 to the health of every boss that comes after it.
| Boss | 1st time | 2nd time | 3rd time | 4th time |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| King Snotty (levels 1, 4, 7, 10) | 20 | 38 | 56 | 74 |
| Lady Lavender (levels 2, 5, 8, 11) | 22 | 40 | 58 | 76 |
| Sir Sproutalot (levels 3, 6, 9, 12) | 36 | 54 | 72 | 90 |
Every fart or burp that lands takes off one point. Lady Lavender can only be hurt by burps, and her health is always more than your 9 fizz, so you’ll need more pop during the fight. The game helps: four in five tins that drop during her fight are fizzy pop, against under half the rest of the time.
MEGA GAS
About one tin in fourteen is a gold can. It gives you eight seconds of Mega Gas: both meters stop going down, you fire more than twice as fast, and every cloud is half as big again. Against a boss with 50 or more health, a gold can is the difference between a long fight and a quick one. Always go for it.
HOW THE GAME SPEEDS UP
Every level, enemies move about an eighth faster than on level one, and they arrive more often. By level eight they’re coming as fast as the game ever sends them, and from there on it’s only their speed that keeps climbing.
LIVES
You start with three. Every boss you beat gives you another, up to five, and refills both meters to 9. You can’t bank more than five, so on full lives a boss’s extra life is wasted. That’s the time to take risks for a bigger combo.
Stuck? Type 1234 for unlimited lives.
