NEW GAMES FOR OLD MACHINES

Every game here is new, and every one of them is written as if it came out somewhere between 1984 and 1998 — a ZX Spectrum arcade game, a 16-bit street fighter, a top-down football game, a first-person dungeon crawl through the English Civil War, a quiz machine in the corner of a wine bar. They are original work, built for this site and released here first. They run in your browser on a computer or a phone. You don’t need to install anything or sign up.

The software houses on the boxes — Gassoft Ltd, Gassoft Iberica, Gassoft do Brasil — don’t exist, and neither did the games until now. Each game’s page explains how it plays, how to get good at it, and how it was made. If you want to know how these games were put together, the about page covers that.
